CURRICULUM VITAE

EDUCATION

  • Ph.D. and Master Degree: master degree expected at the end of the academic year 2016/2017. Ph.D. expected in 2020. Since 2015 enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin, Italian Studies.

  • Laurea triennale: February 2013, Laurea in Scienze dei Beni culturali -Cultural Heritage Studies- summa cum laude, Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, obtained in two years instead of three. My final dissertation analyzed the four different productions of the play “The Resisteble Rise of Arturo Ui” by Bertolt Brecht in light of the recent German studies casting doubt on the structure, musical arrangement and title of the posthumous play.

  • High School/Liceo scientifico: 2010, maturità scientifica with a score of 96/100 at Liceo scientifico Paolo Frisi, Monza. My final paper stressed the connections between the myth of Cassandra, revised through the eyes of modernity in Christa Wolf’s novel, and the Latin tradition of heroines, such as Iphigenia.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

University of Texas at Austin:


  • Spring 2017: Teaching assistant for Professor G. Raffa UGS 303: “Dante's Hell and Its Afterlife.” For this signature course designed for incoming freshmen I lead two small discussion sessions every Friday that tackled the topics introduced by Prof. Raffa in the main class. Class meet three times per week (2 + 1 discussion session). The discussion sections constituted for me a challenging teaching laboratory that allowed me practice my teaching skills in English, while still focusing on Italian literature and culture. The objectives of the class were to read—closely and critically—literary, artistic, cinematic, and other cultural text related to Dante or material inspired by Dante; To explain the significance of major characters, references, and ideas in Dante's Inferno and other course texts, images, viewings, and recordings; to interpret and compare cultural works, to develop and refine writing, research, and oral presentation skills. My duties included leading discussion sections, grading weekly blogs (Dante Diaries), library workshop with students, supervising the News from Hell project, grading abstracts and final papers.

  • Fall 2016: Teaching Assistant for the Italian Department for the ITA 601 class of Professor Adria Frizzi. My duties included actively helping instructor during class, leading supervised classes, office hours and tutoring center for students.

  • Spring 2016: Teaching Assistant for the Italian Department for the ITA 611 class of Professor Antonella Del Fattore-Olson. My duties included actively helping instructor during class, leading supervised classes, office hours and tutoring center for students.

  • IES Study Abroad Milano: during the Summer program of 2015, I taught middle level courses.

  • Bucknell University: Teaching Assistant for the Italian studies, since 2104.
     Responsibilities include planning and teaching Italian recitations for first, second, and third semester Italian courses. Taught upper level conversations course, fall 2014. Responsibilities included: selecting conversations topics administering and evaluating oral exams, and correcting student essays. Leading Tavola Italiana and Coffee Hour.

  • Director’s assistant and stage manager for “Tosca” directed by Paolo Bosisio, Teatro Bonci, Cesena, and Teatro Era, Pontedera, Italy, April 2014.

  • Milano Film Festival: enrolled in MIF press office as assistant of Assunta Currà, spring 2014.

  • Il Giardino delle Esperidi Festival: worked in the theatre festival as a stage manager,coordinator of  performances and of the social media, summer 2012, Monte di Brianza, Italy.

INTERNSHIPS

  • Università degli Studi di Milano: as part of the group “Assenzio”, we organized a series of conferences on Baroque extravagances and peculiarities which also influenced contemporary music, 2014.

  • Piccolo teatro di Milano: under the supervision of the dramaturg and philosophy professor Maddalena Mazzocut-Mis and of the actors Stefano Annoni and Daniele Gaggianesi, a “theater lesson” was realized for high school students. I researched the topic of “politics in sports and sports policies”, focusing on the philosophical concept of “game”, “homo ludens” and “gender” implication in sports, November 2013- April 2014.

  • Laboratorio Regia d’Opera :  I participated in the project of “Regia d’Opera” for which, under the supervision of the director Carlo De Lucia, “La Traviata” has been analyzed and prepared for the stage, November 2013- April 2014, Università Statale di Milano, Italy.

FELLOWSHIPS AND AWARDS

  • 2016-2017 Professional development award for leading with success the Italian Speakers Series for the French and Italian Graduate Student Organization. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

  • Fall 2015-to present: active participant of the Tavola Italiana, organized by the Italian Department on a weekly basis. As an enthusiast supporter of the Tavola I help to organize “tavole speciali”, such as picnics or trips to local Italian shops. The aim of the Tavola is to introduce students to the Italian Austin community and, to develop life-long learning students.

  • Fall 2015, assistant director for the Italian Drama Production, under the supervision of Professor Antonella Del Fattore-Olson, at The University of Texas at Austin, Texas.
